It’s a simple question right? Are you prepared to answer it?

These are unusual times. Now, more than ever, it's important to know and share YOUR story.

Before you talk with clients or prospects or give interviews, make sure to take time to hone your story. Ask yourself:

  • What is our firm’s philosophy?
  • How can I describe our process in a way an average investor can understand it?
  • Can I answer facts and details about the firm?

Learn to tell your story in a relatable and easy to understand manner.  Practice telling it over and over until it becomes more natural.

Your ease in telling your story will help you connect with your audience.

Telling your story in a relaxed manner, using relatable language and avoiding a lot of jargon will make it easy to remember.

Stand out from the crowd

You don’t want to be another face in the crowd. As you fine tune your story take a hard look at what makes you different.

Identify what makes your firm different from your competitors? Why should someone choose your firm over the others?

Teamwork makes the dream work

Confer with your key executives as you hone your story. You all need to know and embrace your story as you learn to tell it.

Are you all on the same page?

As your story emerges it’s crucial that everyone learns to tell it—from the top executives to the voice that answers the phone. Everyone at the firm should be able to articulate key messages and firm details consistently and accurately.
