2018 Was A Rough Year For The Market – But Not For ESG Funds

ESG funds increased by nearly 50% in 2018 and assets grew to over $160 billion after a third consecutive year of significant in-flows.

While 2018 ended poorly for many funds that wasn’t the case for ESG funds which finished in the top half of their respective categories.

In addition to the new ESG funds launched last year, many existing funds added ESG criteria.

ThinkAdvisor shared a recent Morningstar report that reviewed ESG performance in 2018, and future trends.
